Create a Rustic Hipster Thanksgiving Tablescape

I love celebrating special occasions by taking things to another level; doing things I may not normally do on a regular day. For instance, adding special touches to my dining table for when my friends and family come over. My Thanksgiving Tablescape has a decidedly “rustic hipster” vibe to it. Once I decided on the theme, it was easy to put everything together.

This is a sponsored post for Harvest Stone Crackers. They asked me to share a preview of my Thanksgiving Tablescape.

Here a few tips on how to plan before putting together your tablescape:

  1. Think about the theme you want to have
This will help you narrow down colours, materials, accessories, etc.
  2. Consider types of foods you’ll be serving
Will you need soup bowls, salad plates, gravy boats?
  3. Decide if you want to showcase treasured family pieces
If you choose to, you can easily add small nick-nacks to your tablescape. Or maybe you have fabric or material that you’d like to bring out. Think about ways you can use these items on your table.

How I put together my Thanksgiving Tablescape

I knew I wasn’t going to be serving soup for Thanksgiving, so I used a handmade soup tureen I have (which has that “rustic hipster” vibe to it), and added a small arrangement to the centre. You can find these holiday-themed arrangements at craft stores or florists, but you can also create your own, with a floral sponge and some fake or dried flowers. I love the addition of the fake pumpkin in this arrangement!

I used a linen tablecloth to cover my dining table and layered a couple plates in different colours/patterns. I love fabric napkins (which I use every day), so I included one at each place setting. The colours within the napkins are rustic fall colours: mustard yellow, brown, and a hint of faded blue.

I like having my friends and family come over at least an hour before dinner so that we can chat and relax. Because of this, I set out Harvest Stone Crackers to snack on. I whipped up my recipe for Tahini Lemon Dip to go with the crackers. I placed these items on a round cheese board. While there are many delicious flavours of both Harvest Stone Crackers and Harvest Stone Crispy Mix, I chose to set out both Toasted Sesame and Original flavours of the crackers.

These Harvest Stone Crackers are perfect to serve for Thanksgiving since they’re gluten-free, kosher, USDA organic, and made of whole grains like California rice and sesame seeds.
