Top Choices for Travel Destinations in 2018

All three members of my immediate family visited me in 2017. As such, I ended up exploring the area around where I live much more than any destinations further afield. One of the ways I want to feel in 2018 is adventurous. I feel the most adventurous when I travel to a new destination, so in 2018 I want to visit a few different places. I also want to go camping and visit places within B.C.

Top Choices for Travel Destinations in 2018

This is a sponsored post. I’ve partnered with Kalu Yala to share my top choices for travel destinations in 2018. All opinions are 100% my own.

Where Should I Travel to?

The Kalu Yala Instagram page is an inspiring collection of travel and food posts, sure to give me (and you) plenty of ideas for what kind of travel would be most exciting in 2018.

If you’re looking to add more travel to your plans for 2018, Kalu Yala has a scholarship you can apply for that may help you reach your travel goals!

Québec City, Québec

I’ve travelled the length and breadth of the world outside of my home country of Canada more so than within it. To balance things, I plan on exploring Québec City, Québec in 2018. The only remaining walled city north of Mexico, Quebec City has always been a must-visit destination in my mind.

It’s easy to travel to Québec City from where I live in Vancouver, British Columbia. And I would like to take a VIA Rail train to Montréal, while I’m in the area. Do you have any suggestions for what I must do while in Québec City?

The Grand Canyon

During one epic week, when three celebrations occur, I’ll be enjoying the company of my dad on an amazing road-trip. My dad lives in West Texas (one of my favourite areas in the world), so I’ll meet him there and we’ll drive to the Grand Canyon. Along the way, we will visit several of the cliff dwellings, Pueblo ruins, and other interesting Native American sights in New Mexico.

Much of the excitement of the trip comes before leaving for my destination. That’s why I like writing out what my top choices are for travel destinations in 2018. It’s amazing how much joy I get from the anticipation!

Where are you planning on visiting in 2018? I’d love to hear about your travel plans!
