Spring Décor Trend – 70s Influence

My favourite style for fashion is back this season – 1970s style! I love this style for clothing as well as home décor – but perhaps, not all together, like in the picture below:

1970s Design

via Be Interior Decorator

The trend of 1970s fashion is more about the patterns popular at the time, and individual pieces, rather than this all-out look.

1970s Fashion trendPatterns that we can take inspiration from:

  • houndstooth
  • zig-zags

This room has more than enough different patterns, colours and pieces, to give you some ideas for things to add to your décor. Eclectic Roomvia Garrison Hullinger Interior Design

Dining Room 1970s lighting

The bowl, lighting and accessories on the chest are all fun, simple additions for your home to work in this 1970s trend. Via Rachel Reider Interiors.

Add pieces to your décor, like:

  • pendants and other lighting
  • decorative accents
  • end, cocktail and coffee tables made from rough-edged wood tops
  • sunburst wall décor, mirrors

SunburstThe metallic poof, the sunburst and the table against the wall are all great accents for this look.

I was a little skeptical when I read the title, but bringing back the70's seems like a better idea now. There are some really pretty patterns and designs.

It's one of those trends that is good in moderation! 😀 I like the patterns and some furniture pieces, but wouldn't want everything to look dated, of course!
