Color Your World With Light—A Full Spectrum of Colors and Moods

Philips LivingColors

The Philips 69143/60/48 LivingColors Generation 2 Translucent Changing LED Lamp features a spectrum of over 16 million colors to choose from. This lamp allows you to enhance your room’s décor with a personally selected rainbow of colors. You can instantly change the ambience in your room with a touch of the color wheel on the included remote control. The lamp plugs in to a standard outlet, and there are 4 LED bulbs contained within the unit.

LivingColors Lamp

The Philips LivingColors Lamp has a round section on the bottom so that the unit can sit on the floor—but I wish this spot was slightly larger, because I find that the unit tips over easily. I suppose this wouldn’t be a problem if you had the lamp in just one dedicated spot, though.

LivingColorsWhat I would use this for: I watched Game of Thrones with this light on a nice purple-blue color, with the rest of the lights turned off, and that was a lot of fun. Assuming you had a spot where the lamp wouldn’t get wet, far from any water source, this would be fun to use in the bathroom while having a relaxing bath. I enjoy using this in my bedroom on a blue light setting before going to sleep, and on an orange or yellow setting when I wake up. In the middle of winter when there isn’t much sunlight, add some warm light to your space, with this LivingColors lamp. I could see this being great for when you have company over and would like to create a certain mood, too.

LivingColorsIn addition to being able to select from different colors, you can also select the light intensity. For instance, you may want a nice, soft light in your baby or child’s room when they are having a nap. You can set the lamp to be one color, or to rotate between colors randomly—which is fun!

LivingColors

The lamp retails for $189. Compared to the first generation lamp, the LivingColors Generation 2 produces 50% more light. In Europe, where they are way ahead in all things new and cool, you can get a floor-standing model and also one that mounts to the wall. I would buy this, or gladly accept it as a gift, and use it to light up an area behind an tall plant, or use it in a corner of my bedroom.

I was sent a Philips 69143/60/48 LivingColors Generation 2 Translucent Changing LED Lamp with Remote in order to conduct this review. All opinions are 100% my own.

Thats a pretty neat light!! I'm not sure it would last in my house with two little ones. I agree about a wall mounted one, that would probably work better
